Woodlawn Farm and Jacksonville's Historic Underground Railroad have been invited to decorate a Christmas Tree at the Governor's Mansion in Springfield, Illinois, for this year's "Historic Sites Present Christmas at the Mansion." This is the first time Woodlawn Farm has been invited; we feel very honored indeed.

Viewing of the trees may take place every Saturday from 9:30am-11:00am, and Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am-11:00am and 2:00-3:30. At these times visitors may also take a tour of the mansion's ballroom, formal parlors, and Lincoln bedroom.

On Saturday December 14th, Springfield will hold its annual "Historic Christmas" walk to five houses: Lincoln Home, Executive Mansion, Elijah Iles House, Vachel Lindsay Home, and Edwards Place Home between noon and 5:00pm. There is no charge for admission to any of the homes.

Please come visit us and our tree.

For more information, consult the National Park Service website and look for the latest Press Release.
