We have scheduled CIHSMUN ’06 for Thursday, March 2, 2006.

Conference Participants Fees
We are very concerned with keeping your expenses at an absolute minimum. The registration fee is $35 per delegation and $10 per each second delegation. Subsequent delegations are free. As in the past, and unlike any other place on the planet, this includes a FREE lunch.

Delegation Limits
Delegation size shouldn’t exceed a maximum of 12 (6 for GA Plenary, 2 for ECOSOC, 2 for UNCHR, and 2 for Security Council).

CIHSMUN Rules
We are aware that there is a great deal of concern about the complicated rules used at the Model United Nations simulations. We have tried to simplify the rules over the years. You will receive a copy of the rules with the next Update.

Reservation Forms
Schools attending last year’s simulation participated in a lottery in which a country assignment was awarded. Additional delegations will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis on and after January 15.

Resolutions and E-mail
We have included a sample resolution and we ask that your resolutions follow that format, and ALSO BE TYPED. If you have any questions, you can send a message through e-mail. Also this year, we have decided to offer the option to send resolutions by email as well. Please send them to hogztz@hotmail.com. If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt from us within a day or two, please try again or phone us. We do not want to miss any resolutions.

Organs to be Simulated
The Security Council, Economic and Social Council, the UNCHR, and the General Assembly.

Awards and Trophies
Trophies will be given to the top three delegations. Award certificates will be given to the most effective individuals on each committee.
